Kazakhstan Krishnas Lose Homes

There has been an ongoing rise of nationalism and suppression of free speach in the CIS. The Hare Krishnas are amongst the first to bear the badge of being the harbinger of the new news. By Igor Rotar, Forum 18 News Service  , and Felix Corley, Forum 18 News Service  http://www.forum18.org With almost a quarter of the Hare Krishna-owned homes in their Sri Vrindavan Dham commune on the outskirts of Almaty already destroyed, community members are afraid that the rest of the 66 homes – including their temple – could be next. "The community is in shock, but they are determined to defend their homes and place of worship," community member Govinda Swami told Forum 18 News Service. He says destruction of the temple would be "devastating". Neighbouring houses owned by non-Krishna devotees have not been touched and sources have told Forum 18 that President Nursultan Nazarbayev's brother has designs on the property. Local administration chief Bagdad Akhmetayev refused t...

On Ed Bradley - 60 Minutes

The death of Ed Bradley, news journalist of 60 Minutes has brought accolades for his pioneering work. Bradley was 65 years of age and succumbed to leukemia. According to himself he was a performer who could “play all the positions, hit for average and power”. Bradley’s career encompassed nearly 26 years of 60 Minutes. The scorched earth event in the United States entitled AKBAR (there is a real name) has encompassed 19 years with a genesis on June 17, 1987. This is also the anniversary of the United States Constitution and the date of the breaking out of WATERGATE. Mr. Bradley, 60 Minutes and the commercial media are nowhere to be seen in spite of their million dollar salaries. Rush Limbaugh has just went on the air denying that he has “carried anybodies water” in the wake of the solid beating the Republicans and conservatives withstood in the recent midterm elections. As with Peter Jennings, is Ed Bradley, is he “going along to get along or just GETTING ALONG”? Mr. Bradley may o...

Comments: Stuck In Iraq

The recent comments and rebuttal by Senators Kerry and McCain need clarification. In short Sen. Kerry made a statement to students, ''You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq.'' Sen. McCain stated that this was an insult to our fighting soldiers there. The two would be well served if they debated HEAD ON - ONE ON ONE. THESE CHOIR PREACHING ELECTIONS STUNTS INDEED DO NOT BENFIT THE FIGHTING MEN AND WOMEN STATIONED ON THE FRONT WHO DO NOT MAKE COMMAND LEVEL DECISIONS!!! In this context I was just contemplating that personally that I would like to thank our soldiers at the holiday season for the sacrifice they are making. I have very little empathy for Saddam Hussein nor the new policy of President Bush. I do not see the morality or wisdom of dragging fighting men and women of the file who do not make the decisions of how or what to do...

Mendocino County DA Vroman Dies

An important historical figure in the history of SCORCHED EARTH ALSO KNOWN AS AKBARI HAVE TESTIFIED IN FEDERAL COURT TO THIS EFFECT. http://nollmeyer.tripod.com Norm Vroman was Mendocino District Attorney in September of 2001. There were forest fires raging in remote areas of Northern California. Near the beginning of the month a speed lab ran into difficulties and the cooks decided to torch the trailer that the lab was in. A fire resulted. A fire tanker subsequently crashed killing the crew. I was in the Ft Bragg Police Department filing an informal complaint regarding the absurd harassment that was occurring. The smoke was so bad I went to Dover, Delaware where I was when 9-11 occurred. DA Vroman Dies By BEN BROWN The Daily Journal District Attorney Norman Vroman died Thursday afternoon at a Santa Rosa hospital of complications due to a heart attack. The 69-year-old Vroman was rushed to Sutter Valley Memorial Hospital by helicopter Tuesday morning, after suffering a heart ...

AI Response to Torture Legislation

It’s a sad day for America and a very disappointing outcome for those of us who devote ourselves to advancing the global cause of human rights. Yesterday, the Senate joined the House in approving an ill-considered and sweeping piece of legislation, the Military Commissions Act of 2006, that discards key human rights protections – and our best American traditions. This could have been a proud moment for America. Congress had the opportunity to correct the Bush administration’s profoundly disturbing human rights policies. This was an opportunity for Congress to advance the America you and I believe in.They failed to do so. In effect, they gave their stamp of approval to human rights violations. In the face of this set back, you and I must commit ourselves to working as long as it takes until we reverse the damage done yesterday to the cause of human rights. Our representatives in Congress have just passed legislation that: Establishes a new judicial system to try a wide variety of ...

Elements of Neo Fascism

Fascism or neo-fascism have recently become lightning rod buzzwords. Below is a hand fits the glove abstraction of fascist regimes. What is unique is that Macgregor makes the obvious connection to the neo-conservative bias of the Bush Administration. I would argue that America is also a Perfect Dictator with all four recent presidents irrationalist. Ronald Reagan George H.W. Bush William Clinton George W. Bush http://nollmeyer.tripod.com/irrationalistpresidents.htm Jim Macgregor is a 57 year old retired doctor. For many years he was a family practitioner and visiting Medical Officer to Glenochil Prison, one of Scotland's high security prisons. Through his prison work, he developed a special interest in miscarriages of justice and is a member of the Miscarriage of Justice Organisation. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article7553.htm Dr. Lawrence Britt, a political scientist, published research on fascism [18] in which he examined the fascist regimes of Hitler, Mussolini, ...

Fascism Re-emerges Worldwide

The social forces of alienation, totalitarianism, and irrationalism have converged. The word fascism has recently dominated much discourse between the United States and various segments of the Nation of Islam. In the latter case I am referring to the irrational members of Islam without nationalism. Nationalism in itself belittles any true Absolute Godhead. I will give my perspective from the Wikipedia selection. What is occurring is a neo-fascist or new fascist emergence. Cultural forces as economics, historical oppression, and competition from new immigrants are challenging the status quo giving impetus to mismanaging the state from incompetence and emotions as holy. The misuse of drugs as marijuana, cocaine, alcohol, and methamphetamine and their trafficking also figure strongly in justifying irrational thought. Merriam-Webster  defines fascism as "a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and tha...
