Jack Anderson

 


The death of journalist Jack Anderson December 17, 2005 marks an end to serious ground breaking journalism in the United States. Heralded as journalist who struck fear into corrupt politicians hearts his last years reflect a total deference to big politicians and the access to the powerful.

The Washington Post, a paper that at one time promoted his writings is coming under scrutiny for its ethics itself.

Anderson’s syndicated column was for many a source of inspiration for his hard-hitting non-deferential style.

Personally I am more concerned with the period after June 17,1987. The date may look familiar to some for others not. Jack Anderson’s production appears to be marginalized by forces of censorship (LAPD) that have reigned in respectable and honorable writing to play the game, to stay close to big power, and the money that the access to such provides.

Hopefully someone will break out of the ritualistic mode and report on the CORRUPTION that has wracked the United States through the last four presidencies.

Country First?

The Republican Convention has been quite subdued. Only the nomination of Sarah Palin has caused a stir. It remains to be seen what type of agenda John McCain will specify at his acceptance speech. President Bush appeared only by streaming video. Two tropical storms and Hurricane Ike, a category 4 storm are expected to reach land in the next days to weeks.  I have made many complaints against John McCain and other Arizona officials, many while present in the state. Sarah Palin is an open question. Here candidacy delivers her to the profile of young, under 50 years of age competent authorities most likely to face criminal prosecution for de facto and negligent behavior during a scorched earth event.  It is hard to believe, but true, that the human being will condone such fraudulent behavior.  This alone is one of the lessons the human race and the United States in particular will learn as the future pays the cost for the pasts mistakes.  Charles Oberley, past attor...

Change: Let History Decide

Barack Obama has finished the Democratic Convention with a historic speech in front of 84,000 persons. Historically I will argue that this is a prime example of the culture creating it’s own elimination. Barack Obama has not even recognized the grievous totalitarian abuses of which he is a continuation of. The hardball response of Russia in Georgia is in focus now as Putin has alleged that he believes actors in the United States orchestrated the event to promote a candidate.  John McCain has benefited from this event. This morning he nominated Sarah Palin a 44 year old unknown Governor of Alaska as vice president. This morning’s headlines are now dominated by this act of change.  To return Barack Obama’s fiction obstructs justice and is unethical in itself.
